Jimmy “JJ” Douglas Jones, 70, of Salina, departed from this life on Thursday, January 20, 2022 at his grandparents home. He was born on February 22, 1951 in Pryor; the son of Fred and Doris Llewellyn (Cagle) Jones. JJ was an avid gardener and enjoyed growing exotic peppers. He was a bass fisherman and even competed in fishing tournaments. JJ was an Trump supporter through and through. His family described him as “full of love but tried to hide it.” JJ had been married to the love of his life Alicia for 41 years and truly enjoyed their life together on the farm. He will be so dearly missed.

JJ is survived by his wife, Alicia, of the home; son, Jimmy R Laxton and wife Keri of Prague; daughter, Jeri Dawn Sparks and husband Leon of Wellston; special family, Josh and Mindy Butcher and Eric and Karley Whitesel; 10 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Doris.
