Joanne Milby, beloved daughter, sister, wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away on Monday, July 24th, 2023 in Claremore, Oklahoma. Born on March 26th, 1951, in the vibrant city of Indianapolis, Indiana, Joanne lived a life filled with love, warmth, and cherished memories. She was known for her affectionate nature and her unwavering dedication to her family.

Joanne's personality was beautifully reflected in her deep adoration for children. She found immense joy in being surrounded by the laughter and innocence of her own children, grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Her face would light up with happiness as she spent quality time bonding with each one of them. Joanne's nurturing spirit left an indelible mark on the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to experience her love.

A devout woman of faith, Joanne found solace in reading the Bible. It was through her Christian upbringing that she cultivated a strong moral compass which guided her throughout life's challenges. Reading the scriptures not only brought her comfort but also served as a pillar of strength and inspiration as she faced adversity with grace and resilience.

One of Joanne's cherished hobbies was quilting. With nimble fingers and a creative eye for detail, she would stitch together intricate patterns that told stories of warmth and comfort. Each quilt was a testament to her passion for craftsmanship and her desire to wrap those she loved in tangible symbols of affection.

However, it was time spent with family that truly brought Joanne the most profound joy. Whether it was gathering around the dinner table for hearty meals or embarking on memorable vacations together, she treasured every precious moment shared with loved ones. Her unwavering commitment to creating lasting bonds has left an enduring legacy within the hearts of those who had the privilege of calling her family.

Joanne is preceded in death by her parents Willie and Hazel Spears, her beloved husband William Milby, her son Christopher Milby, her sister Pamela Hartman, and three brothers, James Spears, Ted Spears, and Michael Spears. Although her physical presence may be no longer with us, Joanne's memory will forever live on in the hearts of those she held dear.

She leaves behind beautiful memories for her surviving son Darrell Alen Neville and her sister Lorene Gay. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Caria and Cody Neville and Tyler Milby; and great granddaughter, Phoebe. Their lives have been immensely enriched by Joanne's love and guidance, and it is through their shared experiences that they will continue to honor her legacy.

In this moment of sorrow and profound loss, let us remember Joanne as a woman who touched the lives of many through her kindness, compassion, and gentle spirit. She taught us the true meaning of unconditional love and reminded us of the importance of cherishing our loved ones. As we bid farewell to Joanne Milby, let us celebrate the remarkable life she lived and find solace in knowing that her spirit will forever reside in our hearts.
