John Fletcher Hall, a dedicated auto parts salesman and beloved member of his community, passed away on September 29, 2025, in Salina, Oklahoma. Born on May 30, 1945, in San Diego, California, John lived a life marked by honesty, hard work, and an unwavering commitment to his family and friends.
John proudly served his country during the Vietnam War, an experience that shaped much of his character and instilled in him a deeply ingrained sense of duty. After his military service, he channeled his industrious spirit into a successful career as an auto parts salesman, where he built lasting relationships and earned the respect of his peers and customers alike.
Outside of his professional life, John was a passionate collector of old and antique cars. His love for mechanics extended to building race car engines, a hobby that brought him immense joy and allowed him to express his creative talents. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing, which provided him with opportunities to connect with nature and create cherished memories with family and friends.
John took great pride in his family, finding joy and fulfillment in his role as a father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. His children, Dennis Hall and wife Lashell of Locust Grove, Oklahoma, John Hall and wife Meagan of Vinita, Oklahoma, Sherry Owen of Salina, Oklahoma, and Margarett Lister and husband Alan of Claremore, Oklahoma, were his greatest accomplishments; they filled his life with love and happiness. John is also survived by his brother Calvert Hall of Salina, brother Dan Hall of Arizonia City, Arizonia, and sister Margarett Hall of Salina, Oklahoma. His legacy continues through his grandchildren, Anthony Hall and wife Lindsay of Locust Grove, Oklahoma, Courtney Ritter and husband Josh of Wagoner, Oklahoma, Caleb Hall of Tahlequah, Oklahoma, Ruth Howson of Aberdeen, North Carolina, Beau Owen of Claremore, Oklahoma, David Lister, Jay Lister, and Zachary Lister all of Claremore, OK; as well as four cherished great-grandchildren and another on the way.
John’s devotion to his beloved wife, Cynthia Ann Hall, remained resolute even after her passing; he often spoke of missing her dearly. The bond they shared shaped his life, and she was an integral part of his happiest memories.
John Fletcher Hall is predeceased by his parents, Sidney Hall and Juanita (Fordham) Cameron; siblings, Jessie Hall, Esther Lee Hayes, Lois McAlister, Joyce Satterwhite, and Dexter Cameron; and his great-grandson, Josiah Hall.
As we remember John, we celebrate a man who embodied the values of honesty and hard work, who inspired those around him with his compassion and dedication, and whose family will carry forward his spirit and love for generations to come.
