John Walter Salmon

John Walter Salmon, born on December 27, 1943, in Pattonsburg, Missouri, passed away on June 29, 2026, in Pryor, Oklahoma, at the age of 82.

John was a hardworking man who loved his family and enjoyed the outdoors. He spent many years as a truck driver, where he was able to travel and enjoy the open road. Some of his favorite memories were made when his grandchildren rode along with him, sharing stories and time together. John also enjoyed hunting and fishing. Whether he was casting a line or spending time in the woods, he found peace in nature. Above all, John loved being with his family. He enjoyed gatherings, celebrations, and any time spent with those he cared about most. John is survived by his loving wife, Mary Salmon; his children, David Salmon and wife Debbie, Brenda Stottlemyre and husband Tony, and Barbara Stidham and husband Micheal; and his grandchildren, Joe, Stacia, Tristan, Marysa, Jennifer, Justin, and Kevin.

He was preceded in death by his father, Walter Emil Salmon; his mother, Emmaline Jane Salmon; his son, Darren Salmon; and his granddaughter, Kaylynn Salmon. John will be remembered for his hard work, his love for his family, and the many memories he made along the way. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
