Johnny Lee Hudson, 81, of Adair, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully at his home on May 25, 2026, surrounded by his loving children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Johnny was born on May 30, 1944, in Big Cabin, Oklahoma, to Earl and Lelia Hudson. He grew up in Oklahoma and, on November 30, 1962, married the love of his life, Sherry Sue, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Together they built a life centered around family, hard work, and cherished memories. In 1966, Johnny was drafted into the United States Army and faithfully served his country, including a year of service in Vietnam. He returned home from active duty in 1968 and continued his military commitment until receiving his full discharge in 1972. Following his military service, Johnny began his career with Public Service Company of Oklahoma (PSO), where he worked as a lineman until his retirement. He was known for his strong work ethic, dedication, and willingness to help others.

Johnny and Sherry shared a deep bond and a lifetime of adventure together. In their younger years, they were actively involved in the Enduro Motorcycle Racing Series, traveling together and forming many lifelong friendships within the racing community. After retirement, they enjoyed traveling across the United States and Canada with Johnny’s brothers, sister, and their spouses, making treasured memories along the way. Johnny found great joy in the simple things in life. He loved spending time outdoors, especially fishing and hunting with family. He enjoyed gardening, cooking breakfast for family and friends, and cheering on his grandchildren at their many activities and events. He also enjoyed trips to the casinos with family and friends, where laughter and fellowship were always plentiful. Above all else, Johnny treasured his family. Later in life, one of his greatest joys was spending time with his eight great-grandchildren, who brought endless pride, happiness, and love into his life.

Johnny was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 62 years, Sherry Hudson; his parents, Earl and Lelia Hudson; his brothers, Curtis, Paul, and Larry Hudson; his sister, June Pitts; his niece, Debbie Pitts; and his nephew, Chris Hudson.

He is survived by his son, Tim Hudson and wife Andrea of Adair; his grandchildren, Mason Hudson and wife Kelsey of Pryor, Allison Branch and husband Tony of Tulsa, and Levi Hudson and wife Lacy of Vinita; and his cherished great-grandchildren, Kohen, Emily, Mason, Kayleigh, Colton, Cori, Jed, Josie, and Baby Jagger on the way.
