Juanita "Trigger" Meeks, a beloved matriarch, passed away on January 19, 2026, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, at the age of 94. Born on October 7, 1931, in Collinsville, Oklahoma, Juanita lived a life filled with love, adventure, and deep dedication to her family. On March 3, 1953 Juanita married her soul mate Oceola "Jack" Meeks and together they spent 59 wonderful years before his passing in 2012.

Juanita was known for her vibrant spirit and her passion for being outdoors. In fact, she loved being outdoors so much that she found joy in mowing her own property that she mowed it till she was 92 years old. She cherished vacations to Colorado and found joy in spending time with her family, cooking, and feeding anyone who came into her home. Her interests extended to reading and genealogy, activities that brought her immense satisfaction and connection to her roots.

Above all, Juanita was immensely proud of her children and grandchildren, who were her greatest accomplishments. She leaves behind her loving son, Dewayne Meeks and his wife, Cindy, of Chouteau, OK, and her daughter, Dorothy Smith and her husband, Mike, also of Chouteau, OK. She was the doting grandmother to Jennifer Meeks, Steve Meeks, Dana Corbett, Micheal Smith, Janet Coger, and Keith Meeks, as well as a cherished great-grandmother to Abby, Alison, Braxton, Makalah, Kyle, Kinzie, JJ, Josh, Madison, Trey, Sydney, Blair, Nathan, Harley, and Danika. In addition, she welcomed three great-great-grandchildren, Everleigh, Oaklee, and Leo, into her life, further deepening her legacy of love. Also surviving her are her sisters Susie Jeffery and Judy Moore, a special nephew Rick Lloyd, and many other special nieces and nephews.

Juanita was preceded in death by her parents Charley and Lily Lloyd, her husband, Jack Meeks, and her beloved children, Debbie Ackley, Dannie Meeks, and Darell Meeks. She also mourned the loss of her grandson, Jackie Darell Steffens, granddaughter, Kristen Meeks, and grandson, Kristopher Meeks. Juanita was also preceded by her brother, Jesse Clifford Lloyd, and sisters, Willa Smith and Gevena Chamberlin.

Known affectionately for her warm heart and hospitality, Juanita touched the lives of all who knew her; she will be deeply missed.

Friends and family may pay their respects during the visitation scheduled for January 27, 2026, from 6 PM to 8 PM, at Shipman's Funeral & Cremation Service located at 1204 N. E. 1st St., Pryor, OK 74362. A graveside service will take place the following day, January 28, 2026, at 2 PM at Graham Memorial Cemetery, 1664 N.E. 1st St., Pryor, OK 74361. Dewayne Meeks, Rick Lloyd, Steve Meeks, Mike Smith, Mike Smith Jr., J.J. Corbett will be serving as casket bearers.
