Listen to Obituary

KayLynn Shaye Salmon, a radiant light in the lives of many, was born on March 15, 1999, in Claremore, Oklahoma. She passed away unexpectedly in Claremore on March 5, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness, and passion that touched all who knew her.

She dedicated her life to her family and community. As a substitute teacher in the school system where her children attended, she created an empowering and nurturing environment that resonated deeply with her students. It was evident that she was adored by all the children who crossed her path, as she brought joy and inspiration into their lives daily.

Her devotion to her children, Karter and Mia Diaz, was unparalleled. They were her heart and her priorities, and nothing brought her greater happiness than being their mother. KayLynn understood the significance of family, cherishing the bonds she formed with her own loved ones, including the father of her children, Ramon Diaz. Together, they shared beautiful moments, from serene kayaking adventures to simple joys of everyday life, weaving memories that would last a lifetime.

KayLynn's zest for life extended beyond her role as a mother. She had an undeniable passion for animals, raising and selling Yorkies while also cherishing cats and goats. Her creativity shone through her baking, where she transformed food into art, making delicious creations.

She is survived by her children, Karter and Mia Diaz of Pryor, OK; father of her children, Ramon Diaz; her mother, Wanda Salmon of Pryor, OK; her brothers, Derek Bramlett and Tristan Salmon, both of Pryor, OK; her sisters, Amber Bramlett of Tahlequah, OK, and Marysa Salmon of Pryor, OK; her grandparents, Mary and John Salmon of Pryor, OK; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Each of them held a special place in her heart, and her absence will be felt deeply by all.

As we gather in remembrance of KayLynn Shaye Salmon, let us carry forward her spirit of love and compassion, celebrating the profound impact she made in her brief time on this earth. Her legacy will continue to inspire many, and she will remain forever in our hearts.

KayLynn is preceded in death by her father, Darren Salmon; her maternal grandparents, Nick and Wynona Sanders; her uncle, Eddie Sanders; and her cousin, Kyle Ball.
