Locust Grove

Kenneth Wayne Holman, also known as Pedo, passed away on Monday, October 3, 2022, in Pryor. He was born on March 11, 1938, in Locust Grove, Oklahoma to Johnnie and Clara (Sanford) Holman and was a life-long resident of Mayes County. On August 26, 1960, he married the love of his life, Betty Stanley at a small church in Rose, Oklahoma and spent many wonderful years with her until her passing in 2005. He was an avid coon hunter and spent countless hours running his dogs. He was adamant when it came to providing for his family and was well known for being a family man. Aside from being an iron worker, he sold coon hides to ensure he could always take care of his family. He later worked and eventually retired from Mayes County District #3. Among other outdoor activities, he enjoyed keeping and riding mules. Every Sunday, you could find him sitting and visiting with Duke Griffin. Other special hunting and fishing buddies included Liz Ellis and Jackie McCullough. He leaves behind a wonderful legacy and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
