Larry Wayne Hughey, Jr.

Larry Wayne Hughey, Jr., 49, of Salina, passed away on Sunday, July 3, 2022 in Pryor. He was born on May 21, 1973 in Muskogee, Oklahoma; the son of Larry Wayne Hughey, Sr., and Georgia (Bumgarner) Hughey. He worked for many years for Criger Feeds as a laborer for the company. Larry was very creative and enjoyed making custom knives for his family and friends. He also loved listening to music and dancing. Larry was an outdoorsman and liked to go fishing and tend to his animals around the house. He was a loving husband, father, son, brother, grandfather and friend and leaves behind many memories for his family to remember.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, July 15, 2022, in the Shipman’s Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Jim Nelson officiating. Larry is survived by his wife, Kimberly Hughey of the home; sons, Collin Grant Hughey of Muskogee, Oklahoma, Christopher Hughey and Aliyah Solis of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma and Christian Hughey and Anna Ewaldt of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; father, Larry Wayne Hughey, Sr. and wife Pamela of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; brother, William Lawrence of Tulsa, Oklahoma; sister, Teri Haynes and husband Derik of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; step sister, Lori Nelson and husband Jim of Bixby, Oklahoma; grandchild, Christian Hughey, Jr.; and many other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his mother, Georgia Hughey; step brother, Eric Beeks; and step step sister, Shanna Lawrence.
