Laura Gayle Bryant, 75, of Spavinaw, passed away on Friday, January 14, 2022, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She was born on July 29, 1946, in Los Angeles, California; the daughter of Clifford Ray and Pauline (Tucker) Hodges. She worked as a waitress in the restaurant industry most of her life. Gayle looked forward to going to flea markets, antique shopping, “junkin”, and enjoyed finding bargains. She enjoyed cooking and loved attending church services at Blue Springs Church in Salina. Gayle always remembered her family and friends’ birthdays, making sure she sent them a card to let them know they are loved. She looked forward to spending time with her family and cherished each moment she had to spend with them. Gayle leaves behind many memories and will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Visitation services will be held from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m., Saturday, January 22, 2022, at Shipman’s Funeral Home in Pryor. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m., Sunday, January 23, 2022, at Blue Springs Church in Salina. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Blue Springs Church. Gayle is survived by her sons, Rob Chambers and wife Joyce of Salina, Oklahoma, Larry Hawkins and wife Vanessa of Greenbrier, Arkansas, and Ronnie Hawkins and wife Shaelene of Cedar Creek, Texas; daughter in law, Reba Chambers of Westville, Oklahoma; longtime boyfriend, Marion Haggard of the home; brother, Perry Baker and wife Rhonda of Garfield, Arkansas; sisters, Judy Baker of Langley, Oklahoma, and Janice Chambers and husband Dale of Albuquerque, New Mexico; 9 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, Clifford Hodges and Pauline Baker; son, Steve Chambers; sisters, Shirley Morgan and Terri Drummond; and brothers, Robert Baker, Ray Hodges, and Timothy Baker.
