Laura Johnson, a cherished mother, sister, and daughter, passed away on May 17, 2026, in Pryor, Oklahoma. Born on June 27, 1949, in Colorado Springs, Colorado, Laura lived a life marked by dedication to her family and a passion for enriching experiences.

Throughout her life, Laura nurtured a deep love for reading, engaging puzzles, and traveling, with a particular fondness for Italy. These interests were a reflection of her curious mind and vibrant spirit. Above all, she treasured her role as a mother to her five children, finding joy and purpose in guiding and supporting them.

Laura’s family was central to her life. She is survived by her children: Christopher Locke, Arthur Johnson, Della, Molly Johnson, and Aliah Johnson. Her legacy continues through her numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who carry forward the values and warmth she instilled. Laura also leaves behind her siblings: Lee Penrose, Larry Penrose, Lorraine Webber, and Cindy Miller, who shared many moments of her life’s journey.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Beulah (Davee) Penrose, and her husband, Steve Johnson, all of whom hold a special place in the memories of those who knew her.
