Lawrence Leroy Hobbs, Jr. 61, of Big Cabin, Oklahoma passed away on Wednesday, June 30, 2021 at Hillcrest Heart Hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Leroy was born on November 25, 1959, the son of Lawrence Leroy and Ruby (Gonzales) Hobbs He married Teresa Ann Walden.
Leroy loved to pull pranks on everyone and swipe your plate of food if not well guarded, especially homemade tamales. He was an avid fisherman and loved working in his garden. Leroy loved hunting and fishing with his little buddy, Hayden Herman ad in his early years with Gary and Dean Anderson. Leroy could tell some of the funniest stories and would keep you rolling in stitches of laughter. He also worked hard with a smile. He built many-a-mile, of excellent, barbed wire fence and took great pride in his workmanship.
Leroy is survived by his wife Teresa Ann Hobbs of Big Cabin, Oklahoma, daughters, Jennifer Rutherford and husband Duke of Locust Grove, Oklahoma, Becky Lynn Rawls and husband Mitch of Claremore, Oklahoma; and Matt (April) Herman, who he considered like a son. Also, his wife, Teresa’s children, Joseph, Angela, Heather and Megan. He is also survived by his sisters and brothers-in-law, Linda (Joe) Gilmore of Big Cabin, Oklahoma; Lorrine (Fred) Marshall of Heavener, Oklahoma; Lucina (Allyn) Boren of Vinita, Oklahoma; Bessie (Johnathan) Scheffel of Pryor, Oklahoma; and Laura (Don) Cochran of Hulbert, Oklahoma. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence Leroy and Ruby Hobbs, his siters, Rinda Ruby Hobbs, and Lena Ruth Cude.
