Lewis “Joe” Lewis Moore, 80, of Pryor, passed away on Monday, July 25, 2022 at his home. He was born on June 14, 1942 in Fines Creek, North Carolina; the son of John D. Moore and Alma (Ledford) Moore. Joe has lived in Pryor since 1974. He moved here from Honolulu, Hawaii, where he was based and married his wife, Maryalyce Frietas on June 23, 1962. Joe was a God-fearing man, and loved listening to gospel music. In his later years, he enjoyed watching Fox news, wrestling, and western movies. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and playing cards with his family and friends. He was a hardworking, caring and reliable man, always striving to give his family and friends the best of himself. Joe had a helping heart and never turned down the opportunity to help those in need.

Joe is survived by his son, Raymond Moore and wife Cathy of Pryor, Oklahoma; daughter, Leeshawnette McBride of Pryor, Oklahoma; grandson, Joey Haskins of Pryor, Oklahoma; brothers, Carl Moore and wife Wilma, Jay Moore and wife Sharon, Ralph Moore, and Larry Moore and wife Darlene, all of North Carolina; sisters, Elizabeth Franklin and husband Bill, and Marie Dunigan and husband Bill, all of North Carolina; sister-in-law, Nita Moore of North Carolina; and many other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, John and Alma Moore, wife, Maryalcye Moore, daughter, Jolynn Moore, brother, Dick Moore, sister, Beulah Strickland; and granddaughter, Amber McBride.
