Linda Sue Bendabout was born June 2, 1948 in Leach, OK delivered by mid-wife, Mary Belt. She was the only daughter of John and Annie (Hilderbrand) Bendabout. She peacefully departed this life May 6, 2022 in Tahlequah, OK at the age of 73 years and 11 months. Linda attended elementary schools at Leach and Lowery and graduated from Oaks Mission High School in 1968. After graduation she attended Roberts Beauty Training Center in Tulsa, OK but soon returned home to care for her mother. Linda was a laborer by trade working at several companies and occupations such as Allens Canning Factory and Headstart teacher before retiring in 2013 from Kathy’s Corner Restaurant in Siloam Springs, AR where she worked for 13 years.
Linda was a member of New Mission Baptist Church in Rocky Ford where she served as Sunday School Secretary and Elm Prairie Baptist Church in Leach, where she served as Church Treasurer. Since her retirement she could be found at home with her many cats and a puzzle book or word search in her hands as she waited for her meals from the Seniors Center or a visit or call from friends and relatives.
Linda is preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Rufus Bendabout and Dennis Bendabout Sr.; one nephew, Dennis Bendabout Jr. and one niece Shannon Mace. Those left to cherish her memory include one niece, Traci Kingfisher and husband Choogie of Moodys and sister-in-law Leona Bendabout of Tahlequah.
Three cousins Sam Bendabout, Robert Bendabout, and Johnny Ray Bendabout; 5 great nieces and 3 great nephews and a host of family and friends.
