Linda Sue Morgan, 77, of Pryor, passed away on Monday, December 9, 2019 at her home. She was born on March 9, 1942 in Tulsa; the daughter of Lee Roy and Ouita (Jones) Vandervort. She graduated in the Pryor High School Class of 1960. A year after graduation, Linda married Delano Morgan on July 13, 1961 and have celebrated 58 years of marriage. She and Delano owned and operated Morgan’s Collison Services for many years and she worked in the office and running the business throughout her lifetime. She loved to watch western movies, listen to Elvis, and to watch Thunder basketball. Linda also loved her weekend trips that Greg and Jonita took her on, and also enjoyed going to Las Vegas with her son David and shopping. She had many hobbies, but her favorite was to spend time with her grandchildren and to attend their activities, especially their baseball games. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Pryor. Linda was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend and will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Memorial services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, December 14, 2019 in the Shipman’s Funeral Home Chapel with Tommy Parker officiating. Linda is survived by her husband, Delano Morgan of the home; sons, Greg Morgan and wife Jonita of Pryor, Oklahoma and David Morgan of Pryor, Oklahoma; daughter, Becky Stamper and husband Rick of Locust Grove, Oklahoma; brother, Charles Vandervort of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; sister, Marylin Patterson and husband D.P. Patterson of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; 4 grandchildren, Timothy Steffens, Ashley Stamper, Brody Stamper and Clay Stamper; 5 great grandchildren, Jason Curry, Cayden Steffens, Tanner Stamper, Natalie Steffens, and Katie Stamper; and many other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, Lee Roy and Ouita Vandervort.
