Lois Virginia Taylor, a beloved mother, sister, and friend, was born on January 15, 1935, in Cassville, Missouri. She passed away peacefully on August 17, 2025, in Pryor, Oklahoma, at the age of 90, leaving behind a legacy of love and fond memories that will be cherished by all who knew her. In her younger years, she found joy in growing beautiful flowers and bountiful vegetables, taking pride in her garden that reflected her vibrant personality. Her ability to find beauty in the simple things extended to her love of thrifting; she could often be found browsing through thrift stores and yard sales, always on the lookout for the next great bargain.
Lois is survived by her sister, Bonnie Chaney of Orangevale, California, and her brother, Roy Taylor Jr. of Reno, Nevada. Lois raised a loving family, including her sons, David Cavin and wife Pam of Claremore, Oklahoma, Dickie Lee Cavin of Pryor, Oklahoma, Donald Cavin and his wife Trish of Peggs, Oklahoma, Douglas Lindsey of Pryor, Oklahoma, and Darl Lindsey of Pryor, Oklahoma. She was also a devoted mother to her daughter, Donita Lindsey also of Pryor, Oklahoma. Lois shared many joyful moments with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who provided her much joy.
Lois was preceded in death by her parents, Roy Taylor and Addie Beck, as well as her beloved siblings: Ovie Gray, Bob Gray, Dick Gray, Mae Taylor, Elizebeth Taylor, James Taylor, Betty Taylor, and Birthann Taylor. She was also proceeded by the passing of her son, Danny Cavin.
She will be greatly missed and thought of often, her spirit living on in the hearts of her family and friends.
