Lola Susan Gann, a cherished caregiver and beloved family member, passed away peacefully on August 5, 2025, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Born on November 17, 1950, in Pryor, Oklahoma, Susan led a life dedicated to nurturing others, both in her professional career and her personal relationships.
Throughout her career as a caregiver at the Central State Community Services of Oklahoma, Susan was known for her compassion and unwavering dedication to those she served. She provided comfort and support to many, embodying the very essence of kindness that is often sought but rarely matched. Her work was not just a job; it was a testament to her nurturing spirit and deep empathy.
Susan’s passions extended beyond her professional life. She found solace in reading and took delight in the soothing act of gardening, often spending hours tending to her plants. One of her greatest joys was sitting on her front porch, where she could bask in the beauty of her surroundings and engage with her loved ones.
She is survived by her sons, Steve Cook, Jimmy Cook of Bentonville, Arkansas, and her daughter Karen Ferrell and husband Chris of Pryor, Oklahoma. Susan's legacy continues with her grandchildren: Talon Ferrell, Chris, Lauren, Ashley, Darran, Seth, and Christian, each of whom carries a piece of her heart with them. Susan is also survived by her loving sisters, Linda Pilant and husband Jerold, and Lois Reynolds and husband Joe, all of Pryor, Oklahoma.
Susan was preceded in death by her parents, Everett and Vivian Gann, her brothers, Michael and Tom Gann. Their memories live on in the stories and fond recollections shared by those who knew and loved them.
Susan will be remembered not only for her professional contributions but also for the love and joy she brought to her family and friends. Her presence will be profoundly missed, but her spirit will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to know her.
