Lucille Brown

Lucille Fern Brown, 95, of Pryor, passed away on Wednesday, December 9, 2020 surrounded by her family. She was born on November 20, 1925 in Pryor, Oklahoma; the daughter of Levi and Katie (Sutter) Eichelberger. She married Cecil Brown on September 7, 1951 at Zion Mennonite Church. Lucille worked in the home all of her life, tending to the needs of her husband and children. She loved to garden, sew, and to go fishing. Lucille enjoyed sewing dresses for little girls for African missions. In her younger years, she was a member of the Zion Mennonite Church. She was an active member of the Oak Grove Mennonite Church Sewing Circle. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother and will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, December 14, 2020 in the Shipman’s Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Carl Helmuth officiating. Burial will be in the Zion Mennonite Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m., Sunday, December 13, 2020 at Shipman’s Funeral Home. Lucille is survived by her husband of 69 years, Cecil Brown of the home; son, Randall Brown and wife Sarah of Columbia, Missouri; daughter, Jeanenne Stamper Brown of Pryor, Oklahoma; brother, Donald Eichelberger and wife Alma of Pryor, Oklahoma; grandsons, Jason Brown and Carl Brown; and many other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, Levi and Katie Eichelberger; brother, Delbert Eichelberger and granddaughter, Samantha Brown.
