Marie Lee

Marie Lee, 94, of Pryor, passed away on Saturday, August 20, 2022 at her home. She was born on March 17, 1928 in Murphy, Oklahoma; the daughter of Tom and Donna (Yingst) Whorton. She married Raymond Lee on February 4, 1950 in Claremore and spent 47 wonderful years of marriage. Marie worked alongside her husband as a Pastor’s wife for many years in the Claremore Church of God and also worked in the home tending to the needs of her husband and son, Larry. She was very musical and enjoyed playing the piano and organ in church throughout her life. She also had a knack for making bread, cooking, and enjoyed gardening around her home. She was a lovely Christian woman who leaves behind many memories for her family to remember.

Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, August 24, 2022 in the Graham Memorial Cemetery in Pryor. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m., until 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 23, 2022 at Shipman’s Funeral Home.
