Claremore

Marilyn Kay Davis, 75, passed from this life on Sunday, July 10, 2022, in Claremore, Oklahoma. She was born on January 26, 1947, in Branson, Missouri where she resided half of her life; she was the daughter of I.M. and Golda Edith Davis-Compton. She dedicated her life tending to the home and taking care of her family. She was an avid reader, especially when it came to her bible. She loved to jot down positive and inspirational quotes and quote scripture. Marilyn enjoyed having her makeup done, jewelry, and any chance she had to go shopping. She was known to always be uplifting, complimentary, and encouraging to everyone around her. She could strike up a conversation with anyone and never met a stranger. More than anything, she loved her family and the time she was able to spend with them. She leaves behind quite the impression and will be truly missed by those who knew and loved her.

A celebration of life will be announced at a later date. To leave her family a message, please visit her Guestbook at www.shipmansfuneralhome.com. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Shipman’s Funeral and Cremation Service.

She is survived by her daughter, Melissa Edith Dickerson-Price and fiancé Justin Conley of Claremore; son, Joseph “JJ” Dickerson and wife Erin of Tulsa; three grandchildren, Connor Madison Price, Cameron James Price, and Jesse Taylor Johnson; and two great grandchildren, Jasper Orion Coleman and Ulrich Coleman. She is preceded in death by her parents, I.M. and Golda; brothers, Danny and Johnny Compton; sisters, Nancy Jane Dryer and Janice Kay Cook; and husband, James Robert Dickerson.
