Marilyn Ethel Gilbreath, 89, of Pryor, passed from this life on Sunday, January 9, 2022, in Pryor. She was born on May 24, 1932 in DuBuque, Iowa; the daughter of George Jackson and Ruby (Wilson) Jackson. Marilyn married the love of her life, Jackie, on November 2, 1951. During Jackie’s 45 years in the corporate world, Marilyn took on many roles as a hostess; entertaining, and cooking for clients and friends and attending company events. She was also known as Marilyn from Danville, IL, ex - girlfriend of Jerry Van Dyke, on the TV series of Coach. She was a talented seamstress sewing the majority of her children’s clothes growing up. During her 50+ years married to Jackie, they lived in Danville, IL; Columbus, IN; South Bend, IN; Union Grove, WI, Broken Arrow, and their last 43 years made their home in Pryor, Ok. Marilyn cherished her family and loved spending time with them. She will be so dearly missed.
There will be no services at this time. A Celebration of Life will be planned in Danville, Illinois in the spring for family and friends. Marilyn is survived by her sons, Tim Gilbreath of Stillwater, Tony Gilbreath of Pryor, and Gary Gilbreath and wife Peggy of Seymour, Wisconsin; daughter, Susie Cook and husband Brad of Edmond; brother, Bruce Jackson of Wisconsin; 8 grandchildren, Kris & Tracy Gilbreath, Kevin & Raychel Gilbreath, Brad & Mandy Gilbert, Nathan & Andrea Keilholz, Travis & Ashley Kinnamon, Marissa Gilbreath, Cameron & Michelle Gilbreath, and Austin Gilbreath; and 9 great grandchildren; and numerous family located in Danville, Illinois.
