Marion Carpenter

June 11, 1942 — March 17, 2022

Marion Diane Carpenter, 79, of Parkhill, passed away on Thursday, March 17, 2022 in Tulsa. She was born on June 11, 1942 in Detroit, Michigan; the daughter of Edwin and Wilma Manning. Marion earned her Masters Degree in Education and worked as a teacher for Fort Gibson Public Schools.  Marion had a strong faith and was a woman of God. People were attracted to her because of her strong love of Jesus. She also enjoyed flowers, reading her bible, bible study and attending services at the First Lutheran Church in Tahlequah. Marion adored her granddaughter and looked forward to each moment she had to spend with her. She leaves behind many memories and will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Marion is survived by her daughter, Alicia Goyer and husband James of Adair, Oklahoma; granddaughter, Danielle Cameron and husband Deryk Cameron of Adair, Oklahoma; great grandson, Gabriel Goyer of Adair, Oklahoma; brother, Charles Manning and wife Jeannie of Green Bay, Wisconsin; 5 nephews, 2 nieces, special caretaker, Stacia Goodnight and family friend Joe King. She is preceded in death by her parents, Edwin and Wilma Manning; her husband, George Carpenter; and brother, Ralph Manning.  The family wishes to thank Cearu Medical Resort in Tulsa for the exceptional   care she received while a resident there.  In lieu of flowers please make a donation to Samaritan’s Purse, First Lutheran Church Tahlequah, or to Northstar Church Pryor.
