Marla Jo Brown

Marla Jo Brown, born on January 6, 1948, in Verden, Oklahoma, passed away on January 26, 2026, in Salina, Oklahoma, at the age of 78.

She was known for her passions and interests. She liked to tend to her garden and thoroughly enjoyed crafting. Her pool area was another source of joy for her, where she cherished moments spent with family. She also loved to spend time traveling. Above all, she valued the time shared with her loved ones, and her family meant everything to her.

She is survived by her husband, Joe Brown, who was alongside her at home, her son, Kevin Brown and his wife Tisha, of Locust Grove, OK. Her legacy continues through her grandchildren: Dayton Brown and his wife Kenna, Kolby Brown and Havannah Stites, Nathan Brown and Madison Wood, Graci Brown, Kaysen Brown, and Brady Brown. She also leaves behind three great-grandchildren: Brooks Brown, Walker Brown, and Kreed Brown.

Marla was preceded in death by her parents, Otis and Ersel (Brown) McNabb, as well as her son, Jody Brown.

A memorial gathering will be held from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m., Sunday, February 1, 2026, at Shipman's Funeral Home in Pryor.
