Mary Etta Harrington, born on November 27, 1956, in Pryor, Oklahoma, passed away on Wednesday, July 2, 2025, in Pryor. She was a remarkable individual known for her generosity, kindness, and unwavering support as the rock of her family.
Mary was not only a devoted wife to her husband, Terry Harrington, but also a loving mother and grandmother who cherished her time with her family, especially her children and grandchildren. She is survived by her son, Brian Louis George, and his wife Nicole of Key West, FL; daughters, Gloria Jean Rowe of Adair, OK, Tammy Ann Deaton and her husband Brian of Bixby, OK, Mary Ruth George and her husband Mickey Etchison of Vinita, OK, and Kristy Dawn McClain of Adair, OK. Additionally, Mary leaves behind her brothers, George Reed and wife Barbara Reed and Dariel James Russell, Darlene Russell, Russell Boren,14 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Her life was filled with warmth and love, characterized by her fun-loving spirit and big heart. She enjoyed playing board games and cards, indulging in her passion for coffee, and appreciated the beauty of butterflies. Mary also found joy in fishing and gardening, engaging in hobbies that allowed her to bond with her family while nurturing her love for nature.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents, James Howard Russell and Mary (Atkins) Wooten, as well as several siblings, including brothers Robert Leroy Reed, Howard James Russell, and twin brother Jimmy Russell, sisters Ruth Ann Boren, Betty Sue Thomas, and Gloria Jean Russell. She also mourned the loss of her grandsons, Blake Anthony Rowe and Shannon Lee Thomas.
