Matthew Lee Kingfisher, 40, of Salina, passed away on Wednesday, July 28, 2021 in Fort Walton Beach, Florida. He was born on November 10, 1980 in Claremore, Oklahoma; the son of Fred and Phyllis Buss (Kingfisher). Matt worked as a marketing manager and worked for Didion-Orf Recycling. He enjoyed playing cornhole and golf, grilling, and watching OU football with his girls. He loved his children and leaves behind a legacy for them all to cherish. A loving father, son, and brother, he was a blessing to all who knew and loved him.
Funeral services for Matt will be held on Wednesday, August 4, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at the Salina gym with Reverend Buddy Ross officiating. Burial will be in the Ross-Mayes Cemetery with Ryan Chancellor, Nick Leach, Jeremy Hooker, Shawn Rudd, T.J. Cagle, and Tommy Bailey serving as casket bearers. Honorary casket bearers will be Randy Frailey and Lance Wilcox. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 3, 2021 in the Shipman’s Funeral Home Chapel. Matt is survived by his daughters, Maticen Kingfisher of Salina, Oklahoma, Lillie Kingfisher of Salina, Oklahoma, and Myah Kingfisher of Salina, Oklahoma; his mother Phyllis Buss and husband Fred Buss of Salina, Oklahoma; his brothers Brandon Wolfe and wife Morgan of Pryor, Oklahoma, and Bryce Proctor and girlfriend Savanah of Stilwell, Oklahoma; his girlfriend, Heather Six of Salina, Oklahoma; and many other relatives and friends.
