Melinda Marlene Bruffett, born June 16, 1951, in Kansas City, Kansas, passed away on June 5, 2026, in Salina, Oklahoma. Her life was marked by an extraordinary warmth and an unwavering spirit that touched many around her.

Melinda was a woman whose heart was as expansive as her capacity to love. Known for her desire to befriend everyone she met, she carried herself with kindness and inclusivity. Friends and family cherished her generous nature, often recalling her infectious joy and the way she made every day feel special—so much so that she believed every day was her birthday. She delighted in celebrating not only her own milestones but also in reveling in the happiness of those around her, frequently sharing that excitement and always appreciating the joy of receiving gifts.

Her passions extended beyond her social warmth into a love for music, which accompanied many moments of her life with melody and comfort. Additionally, Melinda enjoyed playing cards and working on puzzles, activities that reflected her thoughtful, playful, and patient nature.

Melinda is survived by her brother Floyd Bruffett, Jr. of Auroa, MO, her brother Dallas Bruffett of Glena, MO, her sister Karen Kelley of Auroa, MO, and her sister-in-law Mary Bruffett of Pryor, OK. She was preceded in death by her parents, Floyd Bruffett, Sr. and Betty (Adkins) Bruffett, as well as her siblings Jim Call, Doris Norman, and Julie Brown.

Throughout her life, Melinda Marlene Bruffett was remembered not only for her genuine affection and generous spirit but also for the joy she spread to all who knew her. Her presence will be deeply missed, yet her legacy of kindness and friendship will endure in the hearts of her family and friends.
