Myrtle Owens

Myrtle L. Owens, 91 of Pryor, passed away on Wednesday, August 9, 2017 in Pryor, Oklahoma. She was born in Adair, Oklahoma; the daughter of Franklin and Marie (Miles) Jefferies. She was a CNA and worked for Moots Hospital and retired from Grand Valley Hospital. Myrtle loved the Lord, she attended the Pentecostal Church of God and would attend bible studies. She lived a long, wonderful life, full of memories that will be cherished by all who knew and loved her.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, August 14, 2017 at the Graham Memorial cemetery with Reverend Junior Mullin officiating. Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m., Sunday, August 13, 2017 in the Shipman' s Funeral Home Chapel. Myrtle is survived by her son, Jim Owens of Braggs, Oklahoma; daughters, Patsy Hughes, Linda Gilgore, Marilyn McGrory, Sandy Gann and Gallis Cunningham; 24 grandchildren and several great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Jim Owens; son, Johnny Owens; 2 brothers and 1 sister.
