Nancy Kaye Doede, 77, passed away on Wednesday, August 19, 2026, in Claremore, Oklahoma. She was born on July 3, 1949, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, to Howard and Merry (Strickland) Cockrell.

Nancy had a love for music of all kinds and especially enjoyed dancing to country western music. She loved spending time outdoors fishing and also enjoyed sitting down for a good game of cards. Car shows were another favorite pastime, where she could admire the fast cars and beautiful show cars on display.

Above all, Nancy treasured the people in her life and the time she shared with her family. The memories created with those she loved will continue to be cherished by her family and friends.

Nancy is survived by her husband, Steve Doede of the home; son, Timothy Smith and wife GeorgeAnn of Oakland Park, Kansas; daughters, Shelly Ward of Claremore, Oklahoma, and Rebecca Doede and Aaron Perkins of Howell, Michigan; brother, Stanley Smith and Terry of Tulsa, Oklahoma; sister, Patricia Foster of Tulsa, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Kameron Smith, Kolton Joshua Smith, Vincent Baldwin, Veda Baldwin, Andrea Replogle, Ethan Ward, and Miles Perkins; great-grandchildren, Cadence and Lily; as well as other extended family members and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Howard and Merry (Strickland) Cockrell; brother, Howard Eagen; and son, Joshua Alvis Lee Smith.

Nancy will be remembered for her love for the Lord and her unique ability to show compassion, care, and Christian love for all people.

A memorial service honoring Nancy's life will be held at 3:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 25, 2026, at Shipman's Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Dave Mewbourne officiating.
