Nevin Manuel Henson, 22, of Claremore, departed from this life on Saturday, January 22, 2022, in Claremore, Oklahoma. He was born on September 2, 1999, in Tulsa; the son of Sammy Davis and Monnie (Henson) Parra. Nevin graduated from Pryor High School in 2018 and went on to work for AXH Air Coolers. He was adventurous and loved to drive around and explore. In the summertime, you would find him swimming or floating the river with his friends. He also enjoyed playing video games and anime. Nevin was a one-of-a-kind guy, who was always there to lend a hand or a smile. He leaves a lasting impression in our hearts and will never be forgotten.

Memorial services for Nevin will be held at 1:30 p.m., Thursday, January 27, 2022, at The Burdick Center. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, January 28, 2022, at First Baptist Church Salina. Burial will follow at Grass Cemetery with Caleb Johnson, Ryan Nailer, Jacob Davis, Jeremiah Davis, Trey Carnes, and Trent Bryan serving as casket bearers. Honorary casket bearers will be Cayden (Tank) Felts and Bryce Kegley. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, January 27, 2022 at Shipman’s Funeral Home. Nevin is survived by his father, Sammy Davis of Pryor; mother, Monnie Parra of Claremore; brothers, Jeremiah Davis of Pryor, Jacob Davis and Breanna Anderson of Pryor, Christian Henson of Claremore, Jose Parra of Claremore; stepfather, Jose Parra Prue; stepsister, Enedina Parra Prue; maternal grandparents, Freeland and Roberta Henson; and many other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his grandpa, Monroe Galcatcher.
