Oman Shrum

September 30, 1931 — May 2, 2020

Oman Lee Shrum, 88, of Pryor, passed away on Saturday, May 2, 2020 in Salina, Oklahoma. He was born on September 30, 1931 in Boatman, Oklahoma; the son of Dale and Bessie (Turner) Shrum. Oman married the love of his life, Patsy (Griggs) Shrum, on September 22, 1950, and spent 70 wonderful years with each other. Together they had 3 children, Terry, Mike, and Jeff. He was a member of the First Baptist Church and taught Sunday school for many years. Oman loved piddling on his farm and working his cows and horses. He loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. Oman was a loving husband, father, and grandfather who will be dearly missed by those who loved and knew him.

Oman is survived by his wife, Patsy, of the home; sons, Terry Shrum and wife Marianne of Pryor, Oklahoma, Mike Shrum and wife Laquita of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, and Jeff Shrum of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Brett Shrum and wife Hallye of Pryor, Oklahoma, Brooke Young and husband B.K. of Pryor, Oklahoma, Brittany Turner and husband Glen of Tiawah, Oklahoma; great grandchildren, Kade, Karsyn, Lilly, Luke, Parker, and Hudson; and many other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Dale and Bessie; brothers, Louis and Gene; and sister, Dean.
