Claremore

Patricia Faye Pace passed away on Monday, September 11, 2023, peacefully with her sisters and niece at her bedside. Patricia was born on April 30, 1943, to Charley and Inez Bennett. At the age of 19, she married Howard “Hoppy” Pace, who thought she was the most beautiful woman alive. They spent 50 years together prior to Hoppy’ s passing. Although she had no biological children, she did have many children that she claimed, including her many nieces and nephews. Patricia loved her family, there was no doubt. While growing up, she looked after her siblings, and as an adult, even up until prior to her passing, she spent much time with her nieces and nephews. Although she would frequently tell you her favorite pastime was napping, she liked flowers and arranging them and she loved to shop. She enjoyed being pampered and having her nails and makeup done. She loved shiny, blingy jewelry and would be elated to find an interesting piece at a garage sale. Pat retired for Diamond Crystal Salt Company after 30 years as a machine operator. She is survived by her siblings, Mary McMichael and husband, David, her brother, Floyd Bennett, Charlene Bybee and husband Jim, Mahalia Kite, Laverne Moore and husband Cliff and Robert Bennett and wife Tammy, numerous nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband, Howard, her parents, Charley and Inez Bennett, her brothers, Shirl and Arlen Bennett, her brother-in-law, Jerry Kite, her nephews, baby William Moore, Patrick Bybee and Jason Kite, and nieces Leanna Bickerstaff, Lisa Jo Bennett, and Leslie Ann Moore. Graveside services will be held on Thursday, September 14, 2023 at Red Oak Cemetery in Slaughterville, Oklahoma.
