Patricia Ann Sanders, 77, passed away on Monday, August 17, 2026, in Tahlequah, Oklahoma. She was born on March 6, 1949, in Jay, Oklahoma, to Claude and Oma Mae (Howard) Hanna.

Patricia was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. She had a caring heart and found great joy in being surrounded by those she loved. Patricia was a teacher for many years at Wickliffe Public School in Salina, Oklahoma, where she enjoyed being a part of the lives of the children she taught.

Family was at the center of Patricia's life. She treasured family gatherings and especially loved watching and attending her children’s and grandchildren’s sporting events. Whether cheering from the sidelines or simply spending time together, she was happiest when her family was near. Patricia also enjoyed cooking for those she loved. Her kitchen was a place where many memories were made, and she was especially well known for her fried chicken. Preparing a good meal was one of the many ways Patricia showed her love and brought her family together.

Patricia is survived by her loving husband, Ray Sanders of the home; her sons, Jerry Goins and wife Kathy of Salina, Oklahoma, Robert Goins and Tana Stutzman of Salina, Oklahoma, Keith Sanders and wife Brandy of Salina, Oklahoma, and Ray Sanders Jr. and wife Lisa of Salina, Oklahoma; her sister, Kathy Hart of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Randi Goins and Jeren Frailey, Wade Goins and DeAnna, Austin Sanders III and Brooke, Malaney Yoakley and David, Sydney Sanders, Molley Sanders, and Mallorey Sanders; great-grandchildren, Bobbi Jo Frailey, Kealey Sanders, Kyleigh Sanders, Stetson Goins, and Nash Goins, with a baby boy on the way; along with many other relatives and friends who will cherish her memory.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Claude and Oma Mae (Howard) Hanna; her brother, Jess Hanna; and her sister, Gerrie Richie.

Patricia will be remembered for the love she had for her family, the joy she found in gathering everyone together, and the countless memories created around the dinner table and at sporting events. Her love and devotion to her family will remain a treasured part of their lives for generations to come.

A graveside service will be at 10:00 a.m., Friday, August 21, 2026, at Ross Mayes Cemetery in Salina, Oklahoma with Reverend Lorne Beck officiating. A visitation will take place from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday, August 20, 2026, at Shipman's Funeral Home in Pryor, Oklahoma.
