Perry Arthurs, Jr.

Perry “Bo” Dee Arthurs, Jr., 48, of Salina, passed away on Sunday, April 21, 2019 in Pryor. He was born on March 23, 1971 in Claremore, Oklahoma; the son of Perry Dee Arthurs and Betty Jo (Cochran) Arthurs. Bo graduated from Salina High School in 1989. He worked as a welder, truck driver, and most recently at Clinton’s Tire in Pryor. He enjoyed playing softball in his younger years, listening to music, and playing lottery scratchers. Bo loved life and loved spending time with his friends and family. Bo’s spirit will live on in the many lives he will touch through organ and tissue donation. He leaves us much to soon and will be remembered by all those who knew and loved him.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, April 26, 2019 in the Blue Springs Church in Salina with Reverend Lorne Beck officiating. Burial will follow in the Ross – Mayes Cemetery in Salina with Aaron Bowline, Jason Nicholson, Duane Bark, Brian Soldier, Robbie Chambers and Brandon Smith serving as casket bearers. Honorary casket bearers will be Derek Humphrey, Steven Dodson, Anthony Davis, Doug Arthurs, Sanford Glass, Jr., Jason Glass, Trey Glass and Chris Snell. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Thursday, April 25, 2019 in the Shipman’s Funeral Home Chapel. Bo is survived by his son, Caleb Meeker and wife Dani of California; daughters, Brady Alberty – Marquez and husband Alex of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Rachel Backwater of Claremore, Oklahoma and Kylie Arthurs of Pryor, Oklahoma; mother, Betty Arthurs of Salina, Oklahoma; sister, Dina Giles and husband Jeremy of Salina, Oklahoma; 1 grandchild, Walker; and many other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his father, Perry Dee Arthurs, sister, Gaye Cochran and daughter, Alexis Arthurs.
