Polly White

Polly White, 85, of Spavinaw, passed away on Thursday, October 17, 2019 in Salina. She was born on September 26, 1934 in Spavinaw; the daughter of Samuel and Annie (Grass) Downing. Polly worked in the home all of her life and enjoyed being home with her family and taking care of them. In her later years, she enjoyed going to Church singings and attended Wickliffe Church for many years and The Church of God in Salina. Polly looked forward to going to the Spavinaw Senior Citizens Center to eat and visit with her friends. She was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother and will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, October 22, 2019 in the Shipman’s Funeral Home Chapel in Pryor with Reverend Dylan Hayes officiating. Burial will follow in the Ribbon Cemetery with Gunner Mouse, Christopher Mouse, Daryll Mouse, Tony Mouse, Jr., Dennis Phillips and Dan Hayes as serving as casket bearers. Honorary casket bearers will be Dillon McCullough and Stephano Vasquez. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Monday, October 21, 2019 at Shipman’s Funeral Home. Polly is survived by her son, Timothy White and wife Lisa of Salina, Oklahoma; daughter, Arlene Mouse of Spavinaw, Oklahoma; brother, John Downing; sisters, Jesse Paul, Jennie Chiseo and Linda Downing; grandchildren; Blake Mouse, Emily Mouse, Jamie White, Lindsey White, and Lily White; great grandchildren, Gunner Mouse, Christopher Mouse, Tori Mouse, Amelia Mouse, Skyleigh Dry, Taten White, Gavin White; great great grandchildren; Madelyn Mouse, Kaies Soldier, Ayden Soldier and Rylan Soldier; special friends, Edna Tanner of Spavinaw, Oklahoma and the Church of God Holiness Family in Salina. She is preceded in death by her parents, Samuel and Annie Downing; husband, Argil White; brothers, Cornelius Downing and Delbert Downing; sisters, Arlie Hoose, Tiny Hodge, and Betty Mouse; grandson, JB Mouse, Jr; and great great granddaughter, Phelicity Mouse.
