Randy Bernard Dawson passed away on August 21, 2026, in Chouteau, Oklahoma. He was born on April 9, 1975, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, to John and Debbie (Noyes) Dawson.
Randy was a devoted family man who treasured spending time with those he loved, especially the little ones in his life. He was an avid Oklahoma State Cowboys fan and enjoyed driving his Camaro, spending time outdoors, and relaxing with a cold beer on a hot day. He also had a special place in his heart for his dachshund, Ollie.
Randy was dependable, hardworking, and always willing to lend a hand. When a crisis arose, he was often the first to show up and could be counted on to help find a solution to just about any problem. A true man's man, Randy valued loyalty and friendship and remained a faithful friend to his lifelong buddies. His dependable nature, love for his family, and willingness to help others will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Randy is preceded in death by his father, John Dawson; and sister, Penny Dawson.
He is survived by his wife, Charlie Weatherly, of the home; children, Reave Dawson of Chouteau, Oklahoma, Hunter Dawson of Kansas, and Tori Jenkins of Inola, Oklahoma; mother, Debbie Dawson of Chouteau, Oklahoma; brother, Sam Dawson of Chouteau, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Naomi, Lilah, Jensen, and Calihan; beloved dachshund, Ollie; and many other relatives and dear friends.
Funeral services for Randy will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, August 28, 2026, at the Chouteau First Baptist Church with Pastor Randy Thorman officiating. James Bridges, Steven Duncan, Danny Croft, Jason Badley, Sam Dawson, and Jeff Kimble will serve as casket bearers. Honorary casket bearers include Reave Dawson, Randy Winn, and Bryce Remer. A visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Thursday, August 27, 2026, at Shipman's Funeral Home. To leave a personal message, please visit his guestbook at www.shipmansfuneralhome.com.
