Rema Jean Richards

Rema Jean Richards, 95, of Adair, passed away on Thursday, September 1, 2022, in Salina, Oklahoma. She was born on September 13, 1926, in Springtown, Arkansas to Elmer and Beulah (Williams) Crone. She married Charles Richards on April 18, 1944, in Pryor and they spent many wonderful years together before his passing in 2003. She enjoyed being outside, planting flowers and going fishing. She was a member of the Adair Eastern Star (Chapter 443) and Amaranth (Hope Court #25). She leaves behind many memories for all to cherish and will be dearly missed by those who knew and loved her.

The Funeral Service for Rema will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, September 8, 2022, in the Shipman’s Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Andy Pilant officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery with Jared Moore, Garrett Moore, Ronnie Stafford, Stacy Wulff, Kenny Scott, and Walker Malone serving as casket bearers. She is survived by her daughters, LaDena Moore of Pryor, and Judy Kathleen Stafford of Yale, Michigan; six grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; and 14 great great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, Elmer and Beulah; husband, Charles Richards; son, Nathan; infant son, Ronnie Richards; brothers, Rufus Crone, and James Thomas Crone; sisters, Ruby Walker, and Reba Webb; and one infant sister, Ruth Crone.
