Richard Dale Littledave, born on January 20, 1951, in Claremore, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on February 3, 2026, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was a beloved member of his community; always so kind, said hi to everyone he would pass and never met a stranger. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Richard was a fluent Cherokee speaker, as it was his first language. He was known for his love of the outdoors and the simple pleasures in life. He found joy in cleaning his yard, hunting for four-leaf clovers, fishing, and spending time at the creek. His hobbies also included visiting the casino, enjoying old television shows, particularly westerns, and working on and building bicycles.
He is survived by a special niece and nephew, Derrick White from Pryor, OK, and Sissy Kingfisher from Salina, OK, as well as nephew Dan Buffington and many other nieces, nephews, and family. Richard was preceded in death by his mother, Jane Mouse, and his stepfather, Chandler Six. Other deceased family members include Eva Chancellor, Dora Bradford, Tony Mouse, Louie Mouse, Geneva Hogshooter, Bobby John Mouse, Lucinda White, Leona Dry, and JB Mouse.
A visitation in honor of Richard will take place on February 10, 2026, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Shipman's Funeral & Cremation Service, located at 1204 N. E. 1st St., Pryor, OK 74362. A funeral service will be held the following day, February 11, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Ribbon Baptist Church, located at 14958 State Hwy 82, Spavinaw, OK 74366. Interment will follow at Ribbon Cemetery with Glen Buffington, Nicholas Mouse, Chris White, Cameron Sutton, Keegan Kingfisher, and Kevin Smoke serving as casket bearers.
