Richard Nutter

January 31, 1937 — October 17, 2019

Richard Wayne Nutter, 82, of Locust Grove, Oklahoma passed away on Thursday, October, 17, 2019 at his home. He was born on January 31, 1937 in Endicott, Nebraska, the son of Dewayne Nutter and Flora (Ingram) Nutter. Richard worked as a welder and mechanic working at the sawmill for many years. He enjoyed helping people, strangers and friends alike. Many people came to Richard for advice or to just listen as to Richard it did not matter who you were or what you may have done, he accepted everyone as they are now. Richard enjoyed arm wrestling with his buddies. He loved his kids and grandkids and all the time spent with them, even if it was just to go for a drive. He loved his pets having several cats and dogs and donated to the ASPCA. He loved music, playing the guitar and harmonica. Richard helped to start the First Indian Baptist and Church of Freedom in Salina. He loved going to church and was a Deacon at the Church of Freedom. His faith was amazing. When no longer able to get to church, he watched church on TV every day. Richard was a man of faith who loved his Lord and leaves that legacy for others to follow.
