Robert Lee Bamberger, 83, of Skiatook, Oklahoma, passed away on Saturday, August 29, 2026, at his home.

Robert was born on October 16, 1942, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, the son of Ivan and Myra (Painter) Bamberger. On May 28, 1974, he married Sharon Bamberger in Landstuhl, Germany. Robert made his home in Skiatook for the past 26 years, moving there from Crosby, Texas.

Robert found enjoyment in the simple things that made a house feel like home. He loved watching the wildlife from his backyard, especially the squirrels and turkeys that wandered through. Music was an important part of his life, and he especially enjoyed listening to André Rieu. He also enjoyed quilting and embroidery, watching Premier League soccer, and settling in to watch the Harry Potter movies.

Christmas held a special place in Robert’s heart, and he loved decorating for the season and bringing the spirit of Christmas into his home. Above all, Robert treasured the time he spent with his family. His grandchildren and great-grandchildren brought him tremendous joy, and the memories they made together were among the most meaningful parts of his life.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Ivan and Myra Bamberger; and his son, Mark Bamberger.

He is survived by his wife, Sharon Bamberger of the home, sons, Michael Bamberger and wife Deanna of Pryor, Oklahoma, Matthew Bamberger of Owasso, Oklahoma, and Richard Bamberger of Houston, Texas; brother, Ivan Bamberger, Jr.; grandchildren, Kody Conley and wife Kate of Bixby, Oklahoma, Dustin Harter of Claremore, Oklahoma, and Jordan Bamberger of Pryor, Oklahoma; great-grandchildren, Meredith Conley, Weston Dixon, and Eleanor Dixon; special cousins, John and Sue Hilker and Pat Hilker; along with many other relatives and friends who will remember him fondly.

A memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, September 5, 2026, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Shipman’s Funeral & Cremation Service.
