Robert Lee Bingham, born August 27, 1963, in El Dorado, Kansas to Mary Ann Roberts and Buddy Lee Bingham passed away in the early morning hours on Tuesday, May 12, 2026.
Robert’s early years were marked by the kind of freedom and recklessness that made great stories later in life, of which he had plenty. He spent his younger years in California, before moving with his family to Vinita, Oklahoma. He married his love, Judy King (Bingham), on May 27,1983. In time, he matured into a man who had learned to slow down and appreciate a simple life and loving the things that truly mattered most: people and Jesus. He admired his wife, adored his daughters, and truly loved and enjoyed his grandkids who kept him young. Those young rascals softened his heart, and the Lord was able to use that softening to show Robert how much He loves him. Robert met Jesus and was a changed man. A true jack of all trades, Robert could build it, roof it, and fix it. There wasn’t much he couldn’t figure out. In his free time, he loved the open road on his motorcycle, singing and clapping loudly without apology, or simply enjoying the outdoors. Robert never met a story he didn’t like and whether you were family, a friend, or a stranger, he brought you into his world with his stories, whether you’ve heard them before or not. And every time he told it, it always got better. If you were a friend of his, you knew how much he loved you, because he made sure you knew it. The stories will keep getting better, and the love he leaves behind will last far longer than any of them.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary; his father, Buddy; and his brothers, Patrick and Jeffrey Bingham. He is survived by his wife of almost forty-three years, Judy of Adair; his daughters Sarah and Rusty Kemp of Adair, Jesse and Patrick Haralson of Memphis, TN, and Summer Bingham of Adair; his grandchildren Chloe, Eli, Anna, Dottie, Jack, Evy, Xander, and Ollie; his sister Tammy and Mike Gonzales of Afton; his brother- in-law John King of Adair; and a blessing of beloved cousins, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and countless friends he called family.
