Robert Lynn Mobbs, a devoted family man and esteemed member of his community, passed away on October 20, 2025, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Born on June 27, 1950, in Wynnewood, Oklahoma, Robert was known for his simple yet profound approach to life, leaving a lasting impact on those he encountered.

Robert dedicated a significant portion of his life to serving his country, first as a sergeant in the United States Army and later as a captain in the Army National Guard. His military service highlighted his commitment to duty and honor, values he carried throughout his life. Calvary Reunions served as one way he was able to keep up with his brothers in arms. After retiring from military service, Robert served in the United States Marshals Service for over three decades. He began his law enforcement career as a Deputy Marshal in Kansas City, eventually becoming the Chief Deputy United States Marshal in Anchorage, Alaska, after being a member of the Special Operations Group in Oklahoma City. He ended his tenure as the Chief Deputy in Tulsa for an eight-year span. He made many life-long friends across geographies during this time and continued active participation with colleagues when possible. After retiring from the US Marshal’s Service, Robert became an active volunteer for the Disabled American Veterans, where he contributed his time and efforts, particularly enjoying Wednesday meetings with fellow veterans. His love for learning and sharing knowledge was evident in his passion for chess; he not only was known as the chess champion but also took joy in teaching many relatives the intricacies of the game. Additionally, Robert was a history buff with a profound interest in the past, specifically the Civil War, and he found solace and enjoyment in swimming, often swimming thousands of yards during his daily routine.

Robert's pride and joy was his family. He is survived by his beloved wife of over 53 years, Susan Mobbs, and their children: son Tommie Mobbs, daughter Kathleen Reiss and her husband Shawn, and daughter Amanda Huambachano and her husband Jesus. His legacy also lives on through his six grandchildren: Isabella Bolin, Jace Bolin, Adalyn Reiss, Blaze Huambachano, Silas Huambachano, and baby girl Huambachano who is on the way. He also leaves behind three sisters: Rebecca Leonard, Candice Clark, and Jessica Crawford.Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Mildred (Roe) Mobbs, who undoubtedly instilled in him the values of hard work, integrity, and love of family.
