Roberta Yates

Roberta M. Jobe Yates, 87, passed away on Monday, August 23, 2010 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She was born on September 24, 1922 in Hulbert, Oklahoma. She married Dell Frank Jobe at Stilwell, Oklahoma on June 14, 1940. After his passing she married Delmar Yates on September 21, 2000 at Bentonville, Arkansas. Roberta chose the profession of LPN and worked for Colonial Terrace Care Center, Grand Valley Hospital and Moots Hospital all in Pryor, Oklahoma. She enjoyed being a caregiver and it showed in her giving heart. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, and reading as well. Roberta had a gift for growing beautiful flowers and vegetables. She was a member of the Pleasant View Baptist Church. Roberta was a lovely lady, who loved her Lord and her family with all her heart. She will be greatly missed by all whose lives she touched. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Friday, August 27, 2010 in the Shipman's Funeral Chapel with Reverend Jerold Pilant officiating. Interment will follow in the Graham Memorial Cemetery in Pryor. The family will receive friends and family at the funeral home from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday evening. She is survived by her sons, Russell and wife, Ronda Jobe of Tulsa, OK and Gary F. Jobe of Beggs, OK; daughter, Barbara and husband, Buddy Curnutt of Pryor, OK; three step-daughters, Marilyn and husband, Gene Murphree, Sue Lawrence and June Caldwell; eight grandchildren, Richard Jobe, Jennifer Anthony, Cathy Johnson, Cyd Sherman, Brad Jobe, Melinda Jobe, Chade Nash and Crissie Cribbs; six great grandchildren, Halle Sherman, Olivia Anthony, Lucy Anthony, Hank Anthony, Carter Cribbs and Taylor Cribbs; many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Dell Frank Jobe on October 6, 1991 and husband, Delmar Yates on July 27, 2010; three brothers and one sister; and numerous nieces and nephews.
