Robert "Ty" Floyd

Robert “Ty” Floyd, 71, of Adair, passed away on Wednesday, December 15, 2021 at his home. He was born on June 17, 1950 in Pryor, Oklahoma; the son of James and Cormileta (Pope) Floyd. He married Nancy Trogdon on September 5, 1969 and they have celebrated 52 years of marriage. Ty loved to smoke meat for others to enjoy and could weld almost anything and it would last from now on. He loved horses and for a while was an owner and trainer. Ty loved riding his motorcycle, ranching, and watching the baby calves. He was still baling hay this year. He was a wonderful husband, father and friend and leaves behind many memories for his family to cherish.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, December 20, 2021 in the Shipman’s Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Adair Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m., Sunday, December 19, 2021 at Shipman’s Funeral Home in Pryor. Ty is survived by his wife, Nancy Floyd of the home; son, Jessy Floyd of Adair, Oklahoma; 2 grandsons, James and Wyatt Floyd; and many other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, James and Cormileta Floyd; brother, James Floyd; and son, James Matthew Floyd.
