Ronald Sedgwick

Ronald Charles Sedgwick, 80, of Pryor, passed away on Sunday, June 13, 2021 in Claremore, Oklahoma. He was born on November 3, 1940 in Colorado; the son of Albert and Minnie (Boyd) Sedgwick. Ronald married Barbara Peters on May 27, 1961 and have celebrated 60 years of marriage. In his earlier years, Ronald attended the First Church of God in Pryor. Ronald was an active member in the Pryor Elks Lodge and the Jaycee’s. He served on the board for many years for both organizations. He enjoyed coin and stamp collecting and even took a class for forging and made several knives. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend and leaves behind many memories for his family to cherish.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, June 17, 2021 in the Shipman’s Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Graham Memorial Cemetery with Jim Peters, Jerry Peters, Greg Peters, Price Kraft, Dave Pilmaier, and Paul Wood serving as casket bearers. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 16, 2021 at Shipman’s Funeral Home. Ronald is survived by his wife, Barbara Sedgwick of the home; sons, Ronald Sedgwick and wife Lee Anna of Owasso, Oklahoma and Randall Sedgwick of Helena, Oklahoma; daughter, Darla Sedgwick of Pryor, Oklahoma; sister, Mary Lou Crimmins of Midland, Texas; 4 grandchildren, Samantha Hatch, Maranda Sedgwick, Hannah Sedgwick, and Keith Sedgwick; and many other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Minnie Sedgwick; and his brothers, Roger and Darwin Sedgwick.
