Ronnie Manual Kirk, 78, passed away on Friday, July 31, 2026, in Pryor, Oklahoma. He was born on June 7, 1948, in Kenwood, Oklahoma, to Ellis and Edith (Chancellor) Kirk.
Ronnie proudly served his country in the United States Army. Following his military service, he dedicated 40 years of hard work as a forklift operator for Morton Buildings, where he was known for his strong work ethic and dependability.
Ronnie found his greatest joy in the simple things in life. He loved riding horses, team roping, cutting wood, and hunting. Above all, he cherished spending time with his family. One of his favorite pastimes was sitting outside watching the traffic go by, always offering a friendly wave to those passing by. His kind spirit, quiet nature, and warm smile will be remembered by everyone who knew him.
He is survived by his son, Kenny Kirk and wife Jamie of Salina, Oklahoma; his brothers, Darrell Kirk and wife Jennifer of Leach, Oklahoma, Rick Kirk and companion Karen Cochran of Kenwood, Oklahoma, and Robert Kirk of Kenwood, Oklahoma; his brother-in-law, Alan Wilson of Little Kansas; his grandchildren Jesse Kirk, Morgan Kirk, Hunter Kirk, two step grandchildren Butler Hignite and Kinley Hignite and one great-granddaughter Josie Kirk, along with many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends who will dearly miss him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ellis and Edith (Chancellor) Kirk; his wife Sandra (Morfitt) Kirk, sister, Loretta Wilson; and his half-brother, Melvin Johnson.
A visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 6, 2026, at Shipman's Funeral Home, 1204 NE 1st St Pryor, Oklahoma. Funeral services will be held the following day at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, August 7, 2026, at Exciting Southeast Baptist Church, 432 E 530 Road, Pryor, Oklahoma 74361 with Pastor Rob Pierce officiating.
Ronnie's legacy of hard work, love for the outdoors, unwavering devotion to his family, and friendly waves to everyone who passed by will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
