Rosenell Russell, 71, of Salina, Oklahoma, passed away Thursday, March 19, 2026, in Tahlequah, Oklahoma. She was born August 6, 1954, in Claremore, Oklahoma, to Roosevelt Jumper and Ella Mae (Smoke) Jumper. Rosenell lived a life centered around faith, family, and simple joys. She worked various jobs throughout the years, most recently serving as a Certified Medical Aide at Colonial Terrace Care Center in Pryor, where she cared for others with kindness and compassion. Above all, her greatest calling was caring for her husband, children, and home—always putting the needs of her family before her own. She found happiness in the quiet, meaningful moments of life—working puzzles, visiting with loved ones, and sitting on her porch with a cup of coffee, sharing stories and laughter. She enjoyed time spent at the creek, family gatherings filled with connection, and road trips that created lasting memories. Rosenell was a devoted member of Ribbon Baptist Church in Spavinaw and held a deep and abiding love for her Lord. Rosenell will be remembered for her warm spirit, her unwavering love for her family, and the way she made those around her feel at home.

Rosenell is survived by her loving husband, Joe Russell of the home; her son, Keith Russell of Salina, Oklahoma; her daughters, Yolina Russell and husband Michael Lemmings of Salina, Oklahoma, Wynona Blalock and husband Keith of Pryor, Oklahoma, sister, Darlene Jumper of Spavinaw, Oklahoma; her brothers, Leonard Jumper and wife Tilitha of Jay, Oklahoma, John Jumper of Locust Grove, Oklahoma, and Junior Jumper of Pryor, Oklahoma; 16 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; along with many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends who will hold her memory close in their hearts. She was preceded in death by her parents, Roosevelt and Ella Mae Jumper; three brothers; three daughters; and several aunts and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, March 30, 2026, in the Ribbon Baptist Church with Pastor Dee Bendabout officiating. Burial will follow in the Euwasha Cemetery in Kenwood with Carissa Wolfe, Roosevelt Mora, Vincent Kirby, Adam Mora, Michael Lemmings, and Johnny Jumper, Jr. serving as casket bearers. Honorary casket bearer will be Cherokee Sharp. A wake service will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Sunday, March 29, 2026, in the Shipman’s Funeral Home Chapel.
