Sandra Foote Lee was the first baby girl born in the new hospital in Guymon, Oklahoma on July 14, 1949. She was born to Elmer Foote and Kathe Andreson Foote. Sandra passed away peacefully on August 16, 2025, in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma.
Sandra attended Pryor Schools, graduating in 1967. After graduation, Sandra attended St. Anthony's School of Nursing where she graduated in 1970. Sandra was a dedicated nurse. A co-worker who worked with Sandra for many years commented that Sandra had a beautiful heart, a joyful spontaneous laugh, and a true calling to a nurse. She stated that Sandra's patients always loved her. Sandra worked for many years at Grand Valley Hospital and retired from the 29 plus years as an emergency room nurse at Claremore Indian Hospital. She always put her patients' needs above her own, displaying empathy and compassion. Sandra displayed her love for her Savior by serving others, donating to many charitable organizations and volunteering many hours at the Second Impressions Thrift Store in Claremore.
Sandra is survived by her daughters, Chenoa Brasswell and Kamisha Lee. She is also survived by her devoted sister, Cheryl Foote Kilgore and husband Harold.
Sandra was a loving MeMaw to Christopher, Alan, Emani, Jerimiah, Aleya, Jordan, Anika, Kahleesi, Kortona, and great-grandchildren, Kyrie and Rosé.
Sandra loved her nieces and nephews and was a big part of their lives. She will be greatly missed by nieces Chanda McKinney and husband Greg, Deandra Kilgore, and nephew Billy Kilgore and wife Amy.
Sandra loved family get togethers! Her quick, witty comments and sense of humor will be missed. No formal services are planned. Instead, the family is getting together to celebrate a life, cherished and well lived.
