Pryor

Sharon Yvonne Anderson, also known by many as Penny, 78, of Pryor, passed from this life on Monday, January 9, 2023, in Pryor. Born on July 15, 1944, in Pryor, Oklahoma, she was the daughter of Clay and Juanita (Garrison) Tucker of Chouteau, Oklahoma. Penny met David in Oklahoma while he was stationed here for the US Army. After getting married in Pryor, they traveled throughout the US and various countries with the military. They decided to settle down in Martinez, Georgia after David's retirement from the military and later moved to Pryor, where they have resided for the past 37 years. She dedicated many years working as a CNA caring for others at the hospital formerly known as Grand Valley. She enjoyed time spent in her garden and tending to her flowers. Some of favorite activities included crocheting, drawing, painting, camping, thrift shopping, and taking any opportunity she could to travel. More than anything, she loved the time she was able to spend with her family. She leaves behind many wonderful memories for all to cherish and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

No services are planned at this time. To leave her family a message, please visit her Guestbook at www.shipmansfuneralhome.com. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Shipman’s Funeral & Cremation Service of Pryor.

Penny is survived by her husband, David Anderson of the home; daughters, Sherina Gibbs and Carol Accord, both of Georgia, and Vickie Gardner of Pryor, Oklahoma; sister, Faylene Reisner of California; six grandchildren; and six great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, Clay and Juanita Tucker; and sister, Shirley Pursley.
