Shelly “Gummy” Jo Flinchum, 60, of Pryor, passed away on Saturday, June 11, 2022 in Bushyhead, Oklahoma. She was born on May 1, 1962 in Rapid City, South Dakota; the daughter of Jackie Bogard and Linda Horton. Shelly attended and graduated from Altamonte High School in Orlando, Florida. She faithfully served her country in the United States Air Force and after being honorably discharged, received her CNA license. She had a helping heart and loved to take care of people. Shelly loved traveling, especially when she was able to go on cruises and being near the ocean. She also looked forward to tending to her plants, gardening, and going on walks. Shelly enjoyed attending church services at Redemption House of Prayer. She cherished each moment she had to spend with her grandchildren and also had a special love for her animals. She leaves behind many memories for her family to remember.

Shelly is survived by her sons, Christopher Michael Bogard and fiancé Mary Wicks of Conway, South Carolina, Jack Flinchum and wife Christa of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Jonathan Bogard of Wisconsin, and Jeffery Bogard of Wisconsin; daughters, Stephanie Dowling and husband Rob of Lindhurst, Illinois and Heather Mendes and husband Kai of Wapato, Washington; grandchildren, Conner, Haven, Finnigen, Emmalynn, Kayla, Hunter, Amiyah, Kalae, Kona, Kawailani; and baby Bogard due in December; mother, Linda Jo Horton and husband Shannon of Pryor, Oklahoma; father, Jack Bogard and wife Teresa of Parkersburg, West Virginia; brothers, Michael Bogard and wife Patti of Pryor, Oklahoma and Gabriel Horton in Tulsa, Oklahoma; sisters, Jamie Morris of Tennessee, Wendy Venosh and husband Vinnie of Pennsylvania, and Kelly Seaquist of Pryor, Oklahoma; best friend, Nita Komara of Summerville, South Carolina; and her animals; Chicka the Chihuahua and Coby the Cat. She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Clayton and Rosalee Bogard and Estelle RenCountre.
