Susan Katheleen (Gilmore) Stoner, 61, of Chouteau, passed away on Wednesday, February 1, 2023 in Muskogee, Oklahoma. She was born on April 17, 1961 in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; the daughter of Sherrill and Elma (Vinson) Gilmore. Susan married Larry Stoner on May 4, 1989 in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma and have celebrated 33 years of marriage. Susan is remembered as being strong willed, stubborn, outgoing, respectful and kind. She passed those same qualities down to her children. She was bubbly and fun to be around. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother to all her family, including her fur babies. She had a green thumb, playing on her phone, and researching ancestry. Susan loved being around her family and friends and leaves behind many memories for her family to cherish.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, February 11, 2023 in the Shipman’s Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m., Friday, February 10, 2023 at Shipman’s Funeral Home. Susan is survived by her husband, Larry Stoner of Chouteau, Oklahoma; sons, Mark Stoner and wife Lisa of Rio Rancho, New Mexico and Steven Stoner and wife Robin of Grand Rapids, Michigan; daughter, Sarah Opdycke and husband Larry of Seneca, South Carolina and Katheleen Jameson and husband Sean of Chouteau, Oklahoma; brother, Buddy Gilmore of Noel, Missouri; sister, Shirley Maxon of El Dorado, Kansas; 6 grandchildren, Danielle Stoner, Briar Stoner, Ezra Jameson, Gabriel Jameson, Jonathan Palmer, and David Palmer; and many other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, Sherrill and Elma Gilmore; and sister, Regina Sorrell.
